Guidelines for use
-
The Grant Area District Library has
quiet study rooms available for patron use (2 will
accommodate 2 people, and one will accommodate up to 6 people). An
example of acceptable use of these rooms includes tutoring, homework
assignments, study groups, committee meetings, discussion groups, interviews, mentoring, and counseling. The rooms may not be
used for commercial sales or business promotions.
-
Patrons using these rooms must
register by signing at the Circulation Desk. If a room suffers
damage, the patron will be billed for necessary repairs and will be
denied future use of study rooms. If there is evidence of eating,
drinking or smoking, the patron will be denied future use of the study
rooms. Library staff will monitor activities and noise
level. Misuse of a Quiet Study Room will result in the patron
being asked to leave the library and possible denial of future use.
